
President Donald Trump told The Wall Street Journal he wants incoming acting director of national intelligence Bill Pulte to “start the process” of firing large numbers of employees in the DNI’s office. Pulte, who leads the Federal Housing Finance Agency, was tapped to replace outgoing DNI Tulsi Gabbard. The DNI office oversees 18 American intelligence agencies, including the CIA and the National Security Agency.
